2017 is coming to a close and we are ready to party! There are plenty of things to do around the Seattle area, whether you are looking for a large community bash or some fun events for the kids.
The largest New Years Eve celebration in this area is at the Seattle Center. Thousands of people attend events in and around the center for NYE. For smaller gatherings, there are a number of parties that require tickets (keep reading!). Top off the night with the stunning Space Needle fireworks!
The Chihuly Gardens & Glass at the Seattle Center host a smaller NYE celebration. Enjoy appetizers, desserts and live music from the Michael Benson Band. Tickets are $250/person
To get the closest private outdoor view of the Space Needle Fireworks, check out SPECTRA at the Pacific Science Center! Tickets range from $85 - $180/person and there will be drinks and DJ's!
If you're wanting to get the kids to bed before midnight, the Seattle Children's Museum hosts a countdown every hour! Each countdown is themed with whatever part of the world is experiencing midnight at that hour, so it is a great learning experience, as well! Museum admission starts at $11.50/person.
For a quieter gathering, try Ivar's on Northlake for tasty food and a view of the fireworks across the water. Tickets are $85/person
We love First Night in downtown Tacoma! By day, obtain entrance into some of Tacoma's museums with your button for free and at night, watch the parade, live music and kids performances! All outdoor activities are free and indoor activities require the button for entry. Costs of the button vary from $10-$15 and costs increase as the festival approaches.
However you choose to celebrate, may your NYE be filled with love, laughter and fun!
